🧩 CrossletPrivacy Policy

Last updated 2 September 2026. This policy covers the Crosslet website and the Crosslet apps for Android and iOS.

The short version

Crosslet collects nothing. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party software development kits. Nothing you do in the game is sent anywhere, because the game has nowhere to send it — it has no server of its own and makes no network requests once it has loaded.

What is stored, and where

The game saves your progress in your own browser or device storage, on the device itself:

This data never leaves the device. We cannot read it, and it is not backed up to us. Clearing the app's data, or deleting the app, deletes it for good.

What we do not do

Sharing a result

If you tap Share after finishing a puzzle, the game hands a short block of text to your own device's share sheet or clipboard. You choose whether to send it and to whom. Nothing is transmitted unless you do that yourself.

Children

Crosslet is suitable for children, and several packs are written for them. Because the game collects no personal information at all, it does not gather data from children either.

Hosting

The website is served by GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may record standard server request logs when a page is loaded; that is GitHub's processing, described in the GitHub Privacy Statement. The installed Android and iOS apps load their files locally and make no such requests.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date above.
